I wish to take this means of extending to my many friends and patrons my most sincere thanks for the many favors shown me during the past five years during which time I have operated the Rankin Studio in Flora.

Having entered the service of my country as a photographer, I have closed my studio, but when the Peace is won and my services are no longer needed, I shall be back to this, my home community. At that time, with the benefit of greater experience and training, and with improved equipment, I shall be happy to again serve as your photographer.
